United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey changes lives and strengthens communities – one child, one adult, one family at a time. We serve communities in Pennsylvania’s Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties, and New Jersey’s Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May and Cumberland counties, and are part of a national network of more than 1,300 locally governed organizations that work to create lasting positive changes in communities and in people’s lives.
United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey takes a holistic approach to improve Education, Financial Stability and Health and makes sure people can meet their most Basic Needs - food, shelter and safety. We intervene at critical transition points in people’s lives – at the time of need by paving the way for more high school graduates by improving the quality of education from cradle to career, empowering working adults to earn more and save more by building foundations for lifelong financial stability – job skills, financial literacy and asset development, creating healthier communities by promoting healthy, active lifestyles for children, adults and seniors and helping our neighbors meet their most basic needs.
