HELP Philadelphia/PHMC

Who We Are

HELP Philadelphia breaks the cycle of dependency by addressing its underlying causes. We do this in a way that respects the dignity of each family we serve by helping them help themselves.  Eligible families participate in an intensive program for 12-18 months, moving through five phases to compete the program.

Volunteers are needed to:

-Assist with childcare while the parents attend life skills workshops.
-Assist in holiday activity preparations.
-Assist in the sorting of donations

What We Do

HELP Philadelphia is a transitional housing program which builds self-sufficiency among homeless and low income families, by developing key independent living skills.  Our goal is to enhance the strengths of all the men, women and children we serve, helping to modify behaviors so that the prospect of homelessness becomes a distant and unlikely future.
